History
Pack 5 formed in 1998 with 5 Lansingburgh families under the Charter of "Parents of Pack 5". Meeting weekly at TPES , Pack 5 held their first registration night in September of 1998. It was at that first Open House, that Pack 5 grew from 5 families to 12 families supporting a committee, complete with a Chairperson, a Cubmaster , a Treasurer and 4 den leaders.
Within a few months, Pack 5 was looking towards it's parent's for a new Cubmaster. Webelos Den leader John, was convinced by his wife, and other committee members that it was the right thing to do. In 1999, Wolf Den Leader Tracy, convinced her husband Floyd to become Assistant Cubmaster.
In 2000, The "Parents of Pack 5" Pack 5 became chartered by the "First Presbyterian Church of Lansingburgh". Pack 5 holds open recruitment in September of each year at TPES, inviting boys ages 7-11 also from RPES, St. Augustine's.
In 2001, Floyd decided to start a troop for the graduating Webelos, having John as his first Assistant Scoutmaster.
In 2007 The "First Presbyterian Church of Lansingburgh", became known as "The Corner Stone Community Church".
In 2008 Pack 5 welcomed the newest Pack 5 member Cubmaster Paul.
